It all started when…
University of Western Ontario Gazette, February 17t, 1933, pg. 4. "Western to Have a Fencing Team”. The latest sport to be inaugurated at Western is Fencing. Due largely to the efforts of Mr. Alan Acres, a Fencing Club is in the process of organization here at Western. If sufficient interest is shown in this sport, it will be included in the list of activities for which
P.T. credits are given, Mr. Crocker announced to The Gazette to-day. Mr. Acres will act as a coach for the team.
The Western Varsity Fencing Team values each and every fencer and coach from the past to the present. We hope to reconnect and share with you what has been happening since you were on the team. We would love to hear from you and plan a visit!
